How We Met

To begin, Caliche High School is not very big, neither is the Crook area. We had gone to school for years together, been in the same classes, and roamed the same hallways. However, our significant interactions occurred in band class with Mr. Rosete and in Robotics with Mr. Monheiser. After a 20-minute car ride to Sterling, something had changed. We began to spend more time together and found we had so much in common. Our friendship grew into a relationship. Five and a half years later, here we are.

The Proposal

One casual afternoon, Alexia had gotten off work in Greeley and arrived at Ross's townhouse in Longmont. After a moment of relaxing on the couch with Ross, she had left the room for a moment to get a drink. When she returned, Ross had lunged to the floor on one knee and began to share how much she meant to him. While she thought this was a joke, he opened the velvet box, and she knew it was not a joke. Right there, in the middle of the living room, on a Friday afternoon, he asked her to start a life together. And yes, she cried… a lot.
